The Municipal Campground
Centrally located, close to downtown, reservations are
recommended for mid-July to mid-August. The people there are very friendly. It is adjacent to the swimming pool, and within walking
distance of town, which means restaurants and so on. Bicycles are handy.

Sander Lake Campground
Probably a nicer campground, located above the Nicholson LZ, but you
definitely need a vehicle. It is much quieter than the municipal campground.

Whitetail Campsite
Located on the North bench, about 3 km from town. A number of pilots like
this spot. Again, quieter than the municipal campground. Vehicle needed. Run
by Jack and Rhoda Wilson. Nice guy - has a sense of humour.

About 2 km from town. For some reason not much used by pilots, although a
perfectly good campground.

You cook for yourself, but get to live in a house. Very friendly, and you
get to meet quite a variety of people. It also means you effectively have a
phone number where you can be reached/messages etc for your stay.
Applewood Farm Hostel
Applewood Farm Hostel is located 11km south of Golden on our organic farm,
Applewood Farm Gardens-fruit and vegetable stand and Garden center. We are a
budget hostel offering clean, quiet, safe accomodation -- seniors
discount---children under 12 stay free in same room as parents.]
Our private room is 38$ for two people or 30$ for 1 person and an extra cot
can be arranged for a child or 15$ for one more adult in same room. Our bunk
room has 4 bunks, is small and cozy and is 20$ per night per person. There
is a pull out bed in the living room. All bedding-towels-kitchen utensils
are included. Tea and coffee is included.
A group of nine may rent the entire hostel and the 9th person is free.
20$ times 8 is 160.00 per night----one week will be $1075.00.
Home made bread may be purchased at the office. Rides to and from the
ski-hill can be arranged for a small fee.
